🌴 Tropical Earthship Breakthrough Project
The Challenge: For 40+ years, the earthship community believed tropical applications were impossible. Previous attempts failed because they abandoned thermal mass or applied temperate solutions to tropical conditions.
The Solution: Three integrated cooling systems specifically engineered for tropical paradise conditions:
- Water-Cooled Earth Tubes: Direct water-to-soil cooling with cleanable straight-tube design
- Thermal Battery Tanks: 1000-2000 liter underground heat sinks with natural stratification
- Enhanced Convection Systems: Engineered airflow moving pre-cooled air through living spaces
- Cooling Tube Hygiene: Integrated UV-C lighting in cooling tubes prevents fungal growth - 2-4 hours daily maintains fresh air quality using only 0.2-0.8 kWh
